the grounds were beautifully maintained, with a large pool and lovely gardens. the bed in my room was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. the hotel's proximity to Marino Balena and the ocean was a major bonus, making it convenient to enjoy the beach. the hotel itself had the charming feel of an older cottage, but it was immaculately clean and comfortable. the value for the price I paid was excellent, and I appreciated the peace and quiet during my stay. Their friendliness made our stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely consider staying here again in the future. 👍.

As women traveling alone, we felt safe and comfortable at this family-run Costa Rican property. the large room with air conditioning and strong fan made our stay enjoyable, and the fantastic large freezer was perfect for freezing our water bladder. the friendly owner and staff made us feel welcome, and the location was excellent, with easy access to the beach and nearby amenities like a surf shop and a restaurant.
Felt warm, but no reason to complain.

We stayed at Villas Maria Luisa for a few nights and had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and quickly resolved a reservation issue, providing us with another room. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach. Our room had a kitchenette with all the necessary amenities, and the bed was comfortable. The highlight was the beautiful garden where we saw monkeys and birds up close. Special thanks to Freddie for his exceptional hospitality and for helping us with transportation. We wished we could have stayed longer!

The value for our money was excellent, with comfortable and well-equipped studios just a short walk from the beach and a supermarket. The staff, led by Freddie, made us feel right at home and were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
The breakfast menu could use some improvement, perhaps by offering a wider variety of options.

The location of the hotel was not ideal for those without a car, as it was quite far from the city center and main attractions. it was conveniently close to the beach, just a short walk away, allowing for easy access to the stunning coastline. the pool was a highlight, providing a refreshing escape from the heat. the friendly and welcoming staff made the stay enjoyable, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring a comfortable experience.
The hotel lacked proper hygiene, with moldy fans and a smelly air conditioning system. the presence of cockroaches in the rooms was a significant downside, making guests feel uncomfortable and unsettled.

We had a wonderful stay at a tranquil jungle retreat. The wildlife surrounding us was mesmerizing, with howler monkeys, birds, and even frogs adding to the ambiance. The affordability of the accommodation was a huge plus, allowing us to fully enjoy our vacation without breaking the bank. The proximity to the beach was also a major perk, as it was just a short walk away. Being able to relax by the pool and soak up the beauty of the surroundings was a definite highlight.
Although the overall experience was great, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. Some basic additions to the units, such as handles on the bathroom doors, hooks or towel rails, and a small shelf for toiletries, would enhance convenience and functionality.
